Shady Looking Ebay Deal

This one looks pretty shady, the picture of the knife is a screenshot from another site. Does the seller even have the knife? On the feedback the only other item the seller auctioned off was never received by the buyer. Lots of red flags there.

I don't think they actually have the knife. The description sounds like the generic ebay description that is automatically typed when you create a new listing, since they likely don't have the knife they have no details to describe so it's just generic.

I sent seller as message asking for closed length.

Edit to add:

This seller replied promptly.
Here is what i asked him:

"Hi, there were 2 models of this pattern, a large one about 6" and a small one under 3". What is the length of this knife with blade closed ?
thank you, juan
p.s. the small one is more rare and so valued higher.'

And here is his reply:

New message from: buzzy21767 (31Yellow Star)
"It’s the smaller"

This reply should remove any hope that seller might actually have the knife. However by using "smaller" instead of "small" he does have good grammar skills.

Looks like it's either been removed, or somebody bought it.

No, we cannot conclude that it sold or if it did, he might have accepted a much lower offer as he had nothing to actually sell.

When I was in Vietnam, I was, for a period of time, in close contact with then Major Ola Mize, a Medal of Honor recipient from The Korean War. He was from Gadsden, Alabama and we talked quite a bit.

He gifted me his Schrade Army issue automatic that he had carried since it was issued to him. It looked just like that, except the blade was worn down some. It still worked quite well.

When I was leaving country, the MP's found it in my boot and relieved me of it. No amount of explanation or frank begging would convince them to let me leave with it.

We all know that MP most likely kept that knife, especially after I had told him to whom it had belonged.

Rotten scoundrel.

I saw Colonel Mize once or twice, later, in civilian life. I never let him know that I had lost his knife. He is deceased now.
