Well it looks like I have one more Canal Street knife here.

This is my first Bowie type.

These knives are made of Sandvik 19C27 steel. Not sure what all that means. It is hardened to 60-62 Rc.

The Buffalo Horns polished up REAL good.

After having him in my had I can't see any one ever using one of these unique knives. I am sure he will do his job cutting but he is just going to be looked at in my house.... ::nod::

He all most feels like D'Holder made him in his shop.

I would rate this knife as a STRONG BUY...

gmusic Thanks I hope you get to hold one in your hands some day.

My hornhorn handle is all black no white spots like the photo shows.

I have three of them--they are all different. That is actually the white striations in the buffalo. I love that aspect of the buffalo!

Ken,
That is a fine lookin' knife. ::nod:: ::tu::

Just as an example of what Derrick described, here is Buffalo horn that displays the striations. The first one is one of the KnifeWorld knives...the second is a small bowl or dish (NOT a REDhead, however), made of Buffalo horn.

El Lobo Thanks again man.

That knife looks kool if she has a grain like that... ::tu::

The bowl ??? Well it looks to me like a big spoon that you can eat Buffalo stew with... ::nod::

My D'Holder is all BLACK on both sides with no white. Almost look like black marble. I like it too.
