Cal, I saw that one also, it just does not look right. What do you think it was made from?

All I know is that it is not Schrade bone.

“Even Shrade doesn’t make them like they did in this one.”
Key statement from the description.

I agree, does not look quite 'right' but i don't know why. S-W did use quite a variety of jigged bone. I think it is hard to dismiss it on this alone.
There looks like an odd vertical 'crease' ? on back of master tang.
Looking at the spring/liner/bolster/bone ends, i cannot see signs of it having been apart. If it has, the workmanship is better than average.
I hope Orvet chimes in.

Quick glance at pics. It sure does look like a nice knife. Could it be a semi custom?
Looks a lot nicer then most fakes that i'v seen so far.
Or several parts knifes put together into one nice knife?
This is going to be an interesting one.

I am not certain of anything on this one but here's what I think.
The bone looks very similar to an earlier jig style schrade used before peachseed. The top knife is mine and is a schrade cut, with the walden in question below. Both knives are the exact same pattern and configuration, aside from the end cap on the walden.
This type of jack pattern was not listed in any walden catalogs, so there is no record I know of that they made them during that period. That is not to say they didn't though, and it would not be the first time I've seen an example of a pattern that's not shown in the walden era catalogs. I think it's possible that it could be all original and the knife doesn't jump out at me as being cobbled. The bone is not typical of what is seen during the walden era, but it is a jig that schrade used. Anything could happen I suppose.

I notice the top knife has 4 pins and the bottom knife has 3 pins. Is that normal?

Yes but that kind of thing depended on the pattern so to speak. These two knives are not the exact same pattern but I think they are the same frame, they are also made quite a few years apart. In the schrade cut catalogs there are jacks of the 3 3/8" length with 3 and 4 pins.

Here is this knife which i won for $59. I decided to take a chance that it might be all original. Now that i have it in hand and can examine it closely i am not sure if it has been worked on or not.
3 3/8", pen blade has very weak snap as stated by seller. The finish on the pen blade looks somehow 'not right'. Only the master tang is marked and there appear to be scratches under the stamping which is not quite square to the tang.
The liners and inside surface of springs look like new, not dirt or fluff, shiny and clean, like new. I cannot see any extra pin holes in the liners.
I am hoping one or more of the Schrade experts will comment, especially those who have built or worked on Schrade knives.
Please comment if you are not an 'expert' but see something that looks 'off'.
thanks, kj
