All About Pocket Knives

I bought this little (literally) Camillus out of the bay. It is 2 3/4 inches long and 3 blade. The master blade is carbon and has no model #. The two smaller blades are stainless and no markings. The handle is Delrin. It doesn't appear to have been apart. Could it be an end of the company knife? What caught my eye is the master blade is a no line tang stamp. I saw another one but a two blade with no line stamp also in Delrin. The seller graciously gave me a counter offer less than the offer I had made so it came to my house. Also extremely poor sharpening on the sheep foot blade.

Doglegg it looks like a #77. In the 1955 catalog it shows that it comes with Plastag Handles and is 2 3/4 closed.

Doglegg that 55 catalog shows the no line stamp on that knife. Are you sure those are stainless blades? it looks like there is a significant amount of oxidation on the tangs.

Greg I could be wrong (talk to my wife) but they sure seem to be. They did not come out as shiny in photo's as they really are. Probably just my imagination. Thank you for your help.

During the last few years before Camillus went out of business, I bought a lot of them, modified them for whittlers and sold them to my students.
Having mixed carbon and stainless blades on the same knife was pretty common, especially closer to the end.
I still have one or two of those mixed blade knives that I loan to newcomers to my whittlin' classes.

Thanks Mr. Chips. It is a very good little knife. Glad to get some confirmation. I'll have to get someone else to look at it as well and confirm my suspicions.
