Rod Bramblett, the radio voice of Auburn Tiger athletics and his wife, Paula, were killed in a motor vehicular accident in Auburn yesterday.

Sad news. He was a fantastic announcer and fun to listen to.

I have a bud who lives in Pensacola that graduated from Auburn, I'll have to let him know about this. Condolences to their family and friends. ::pray::

You really didn’t need to post that one.

Really.

Two car accident. The other driver is a sixteen year old male who sustained "non-life threatening injuries".

Accident is under investigation.

It may end poorly for the boy.

Even if he did nothing wrong, he will be known as the "kid that killed Rod Bramblett".

If I was him, I'd leave Auburn first chance I got.

If I was his parent, I'd consider relocating my family.

I would agree with that Charlie. I don't know the facts but judging from the injuries in the Bramblett vehicle it sounds like a high speed collision. He rear ended their vehicle so if he can recover mentally from what has happened he'll never be able to live a peaceful life in Auburn.

The Brambletts were in the process of making a right turn, when the boy, driving an SUV, rear-ended their car.

His air bag probably deployed.

Almost guaranteed he was texting or otherwise distracted at the time.

Whether or not he will admit to that or it can be proven by examining his phone, remains to be seen.

Whatever the situation, a momentary lapse in judgement has ruined his life.

I feel sorry for him.

Negligent vehicular homicide prosecution might be in his future.

Terrible.
