All About Pocket Knives

I have long thought that all sodbuster knives were pinned like any other knife, only there was a washer on each side to act as a bolter, that theory was proven wrong this morning. Started to tear into a case sodbuster Jr. I noted the pivot pin was especially hard to shear, and after I got it part I seen why. They used a compression type cutlers rivit with 1/4" diameter head instead of a pin and two washers. Luckily I had some on hand from a schrade fixed blade project. I took some measurements, and the hole in bot hthe tang and liners are much larger than normal. The exact measurements are out in the shop and it's too cold to get them right now, but I'll follow up tommorow. It isn't a special shorter cutdown rivit, just a standard compression male/female type cutlers rivit that is used on most factory produced fixed blades including shrade old timers and most butcher knives like old hickory ECt. Just thought I'd give ya'll a heads up beforte you tore into that sodbuster, you can be prepared no matter how the blade is held in the frame. here's a couple pics

MM, where could I find about 3 rivets like that to fit a Old Timer fixed blade knife that I've been trying to save?
