Very nice! What metal did you use, for the blade?

5160 spring-steel. Been using it for going on 30 years; with the right heat treatment it makes an excellent sword.

Beautiful work, TinkerPearce. And 2lbs.4oz is a good weight for a real sword.

Someone calls me every season, and I have to explain all over again that I do mostly stock removal. Oh, I can and do forge blades- one or two a year, maybe, but really not up to a level where I'd be a good contestant.
