Harold, thank you for showing your beautiful old D-E Schrade jack knife. The blades look great and the handles are gorgeous.

For my money, those old Shapleighs always have the nicest bone covers - and that one there, Harold, is about as good as it gets. ::tu::
I have the same knife but with a heavily sharpened clip. I haven't found the pattern number for it - and I've tried but those old Shapleigh catalogs aren't easy to come by. It's not in the '36 or '42 (and I agree that B359? is pretty close.) It's a funny thing but searching for a Shapleigh pattern actually makes you appreciate Schrade catalogs. All the ribbing Schrade gets for less than accurate catalogs - "they made knives, not catalogs" - but even if you couldn't find the exact knife in a Schrade catalog you can use Schrade's formula and figure out that this Shapleigh is a 2063-3/4. With Shapleigh all I can figure out is that the pattern starts with a 'B', because it has two blades. After that there seems to be no rhyme or reason to how pattern numbers got assigned.
Congrats on a really great find.
