Oh what stories they could tell!

A friend gave me this 5 blade sowbelly at the April OKCA show in Eugene Oregon. I had a lot of fun showing it off to the Remington guys. All serious Remington collectors want a 5 blade sowbelly right? I don't know where this came from or its history but I suspect that it had to have belonged to a farmer that repaired everything and kept going until it was used up. The handle scales have been replaced with solder and the blades have been sharpened a million times. Then the old guy bought a bench grinder and really worked the knife over! The blades still all walk and talk and all are tang stamped. It still shows some milling on the nickel silver liners.
