With great anticipation of what 2020 holds for us in regards to your (Roger & Ken's) beautiful rebirth of Maher & Grosh cutlery.
I am wondering if any "hints" are available yet Ken?.

When selecting the pattern for a new Maher & Grosh knife do you always choose one that is shown in a Maher & Grosh catalog ?

Trapper on a GEC #23 ?
I hope there might be a single blade version.

The M&G catalog info on the "Indian Trapper" does not give size, other than 'same as image'. The GEC #54 is an equal end but at 4" is a fairly large knife.
Maybe a #68 which is 3 1/2" equal end might be the one ?
But this is all just enjoyable speculation until the 2020 M&G knife is revealed.

Good point kj.
My 1900 Maher & Grosh catalog also states: "Same as image" which I have found to be very accurate with the original M & G knives and also all of Roger's past beautiful knives.
The M&G #120 2 blade, bone Indian Trapper with rat tail bolsters measures at (approx) 3 & 3/4" in the catalog. Perhaps it will be offered with Stag handles?
I have posted many guesses of the past knives that Roger and Ken have produced and I've been incorrect in ALL of my guesses.
However, this time I think I'm correct. (again)
Patiently waiting for more hints.

Roger's thumbs up and "could be" might be to throw us off course, barking up the wrong tree.
If GEC is the manufacturer, they do not have a 3.75" equal end pattern. The #99 is 3.75 and is almost equal end.
Dan, are there any other M&G knives with "Trapper" etch in your catalog ?

No other knife in the catalog with a blade listed with "The Trapper" or with a Rat Tail bolster. The "Match Strike Pull" is missing on my posted picture above though.
It's funny because all of Roger's past knives have been listed within my 1900 catalog.
However, I do believe that Roger has all of M&Gs old catalogs.
Roger is an expert at this, and most likely has a very large smile on his face as he reads this.

I believe Maher & Grosh SFO GEC knife will be on a #35 frame. GEC is making #35 parts right now. GEC is out of Bovine Cattle Bone right now. A Maher & Grosh #35 in Gabon Ebony wood would not surprise me at all. I dream of a Maher & Grosh #35 in Antique Honey jigged bone. A Maher & Grosh #35 in Sambar Stag with a badge shield would be awesome. GEC has stated that no more shields on Sambar Stag scales. So I guess that won't happen. Chocolate Almond peach-seed jigged was the best new GEC color of 2019. I am getting burnt out on Brown/yellow jigged bone knives. I have never bought a Maher & Grosh knife before . When they offer at knife that really blows me away , I will pay their price. The #35 frame is 3 3/4" closed and it would make a perfect "Indian Trapper" !
