I have never seen a box like this. It is bilingual (English and French) and has the blurb "Canada Works with Schrade" and the Maple Leaf.
Canadian market? And what years?
I may eventually get this knife. It's on eBay right now.

Somewhere there are pictures of the various Schrade boxes with years associated. There is a similar looking Schrade box for late 1990's if i am remembering correctly.
Packaging in Canada has to have labeling in French & English but i don't know what the "Canada works with Schrade" is about. Hopefully someone here does.

Thanks Skip.
The Canadian Schrade box is similar to the 1998-2001 "Sharp Idea" box so is likely from the same time period.

Being a Canadian myself these boxes have caught my eye before. There are about 10 Americans for every Canadian so these boxes aren't too common. It's a much smaller market. Schrade's use of boxes seemed to involve some overlap etc but here is my take on these. Best guess is 1986-1989 somewhere. They might have started the Canadian ad campaign 10 years after the USA though so I can't really say.
The "America Works With Schrade" ad-campaign ran from 1986 until 1989 (inclusive).

My assumption would be that Canada worked with Schrade during the same time period. By 1990 the phrase was no longer used on their flyers.
The 1988 flyer linked below shows the older-style brown box being used for the 3OT at the same time the newer style box was being used for the 5OT. I'd further hazard to guess that the particular box used changed whenever they happened to run out of the older type of boxes and this may well have been pattern dependent as some patterns sold faster than others. Clear as mud and pure conjecture.

Box colour does match the later boxes better but I'm not 100% sure that box-dates pic is 100% accurate. The 3OT ad I linked above kinda proves it's not.

I did a bit more digging and the pic shown as a box reference is way off. The grey and tan boxes were used at the same time period 1985/'86 - 2001. The tan was for Old Timers and grey for Uncle Henrys. The way the pic compares Old Timers and Uncle Henrys together is misleading.

I'm sticking with my initial best-guess of 1986-1989 assuming the Canadian "Works With Schrade" campaign was the same time as the American campaign.
