Case 5171L value

I'm looking at a Case 5171L switchblade and don't know for sure what they are worth now. I have Erickson's 16 year old book that lists the mint value at $3,500. What do you experts think it is worth today? Does anyone know what any have sold for recently? Thanks for any information.

Without a picture of the actual knife, any figures would be purely guesses.

Hard to find knife in any condition. Without seeing it I wouldn’t make a guess on value. But if you want one and can afford it, they don’t come along real often. There’s one for sale now in the AAPK stores. Pricey, and it’s been there a while.

I've seen them sell between $1200.00 to $5,000.00 depending on condition
