All About Pocket Knives

This Maher and Grosh was pretty crusty when I found it. Cracked front wood scale and broken / missing chunk on the back.
Deleted broken secondary. Rehab in black micarta. Final picture on page of 1942 Family Circle.
Remembering those that gave all today.

What a save Doc! The inletting of the shield is fantastic! Someday I'll have the courage to try that.

Looks great! I am going with a similar black Micarta on a 1917 Wostenholm Canadian Navy Knife rebuild I am doing (and this will be the first folder redo I've taken on); to replace the fragile (and half gone on one handle) pressed horn. Of course, the knife is more than 5" closed, so it's gonna take a substantial slab.

Really nice save Doc, and , in particular, a very impressive job on the shield inlay! I can never seem to get mine cut out that tight, particularly on a complicated shield like that.

Thank you gentlemen...and yes...the shield is one of the more tedious parts. It feels almost better than...well, let's say it feels pretty good, when it finally drops in to the slot, without being too messed up.
