Wrong pattern - should be a barehead. Jigging is horrible, looks like somebody did it with a Dremel tool. Pathetic fake!
Same seller has a supposed Tested 75 cent knife also.

Seems like I’ve seen this one or one like it offered before. But it’s a fake also - Case never made a 75 cent knife in the Tested era.
Ken
Edit: I thought that 75 cent looked familiar.
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=58229&p=665444&hil ... nt#p665409 I think it’s the same knife but if not the same, it’s one just like it.

This is another seller selling under multiple id's so beware. I've also heard it said that Leitchfield, KY is the Case counterfeit blade capital of the world. Supposedly any blade you want can be purchased from there.

Anybody out there know if this is real or fake? Seems there would be more interest if it was real. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I don't collect this pattern (06) and don't generally follow it, so if someone comes along and disputes what I am about to say they are probably right.

1. I don't believe a 50 cent version was made.
2. I don't believe this pattern was made in stag
3. This pattern should be a bare head (no cap bolster)
My opinion is this knife is highly suspect.

I agree, as far as I know, the only one actually made was the 6106 in green bone, single blade barehead jack with the 25 cent stamp.
I have never seen an actual antique Case pocket knife with the 50 cent stamp, the 75 cent stamp, or the $1.00 stamp, nor have I ever seen any other pattern or handle material with the 25 cent stamp.
Does not mean that they don't exist, but I have never seen any.

Litchfield is right up the road from me. I don’t know if this is the same guy selling on eBay, but there’s a feller who sets up at the weekly trade day there selling knives. He has some beauties, well done, with old stamps that if you didn’t know better you’d think were the real deal in many cases. As far as I know he is honest if you ask that they’re knives he’s put together. But to sell them with out being up front about it is dishonest imo.

If this guys spends $40K a year in pocket knives he must be really well set up? I have it in my mind that he also sells jewelry and has additional user id's for that category. Only my opinion but a person that spends that much on knives surely knows the difference between fake and genuine and I agree he should disclose that information to buyers.

Thanks again for all contributions. Appreciate all of you who have knowledge in this. I don't and haven't researched so it's great. I also contacted the seller yesterday so he's had time to consider. I just mentioned I didn't think they ever made a fifty center and it might be fake and should be sold as such. Of course he never answered and I doubt he will. I don't expect it. Thanks again all, no bidding for me for fakes billed as authentic. Hopefully word gets around.
