Happy international viking's day!
Ok, I just made that up :D , but I do have a freshly finished viking's axe to show
It has a 11.5 cm/ 4.5 inch long edge and a 37 cm/ 15 inch long shaft.

Beautiful handle and blade! The size is just about right for a belt axe/hatchet for my own use.

I recently replaced a very old True Temper hatchet I had with a German-made (by Ochsenkoph) Stihl Forestry Hatchet, and the "beard" as it's called made it really good for detail work, which is something, for the most part, American axe and hatchet patterns lack.

The handle is humble beech wood, with a sparkle of magic :D
