All About Pocket Knives

Here are 3 "Sausage/Melon Testers by Colonial. The top two are stone mint and are both from SMI Corp. Stamped "Stainless" Colonial, Prov. USA
The bottom is from John Morrell, same tang stamp. All are 5-7/8"

I finally picked up my first. I'd bid on a really cheap pair since the seller also had a couple of different custom knives I'd bid on. Didn't win any of those, but I did win the sausage knives. They should be here in a few days.

The graphics on yours are far more detailed and colorful than what I have.

Here’s a few that I really don’t remember where they came from, think picked them up in Tennessee on a road trip one summer. They’ve all been used, still in good shape,someone tried sharpening the serrated edge and didn’t know what they were doing? The 2 from Germany are made very well.

I suppose it is a 'sausage knife', advertising a pork company. I always called these fruit knives. I just saw a 'John Morrell' Colonial in the wilds of South Dakota, so more sausage there.

I have a Colonial melon tester kicking around somewhere . . .

Used to get those at Tams drugh when I was a kid for just under two dollars. Didn't last us long throwing them at trees. Guess I'm giving away my age, ancient.
