Not sure if this will help you, but this seller has some for sale every other week or so. I think these might have been from the old Queen factory. (After you click on the link, you will need to scroll down.) You might want to contact Courtney directly.

I do believe those Herb mentions came from the Queen factory. The ones she is selling are late model dogs and will not work for restoring or replacing shields in the original Union Cutlery dog head knives. They are quite different than the originals and easy to tell the difference.

These will be for a friends coke bottle that I am rebuilding for him. So nothing but the blade and frame are original. He wants it to look right.

I saw your ad and happened to remember this old post where a member made a dog's head shield from an old nickel. Maybe a last resort for you? BTW I tried to duplicate the effort and my version of the dog's head shield made from an old nickel ended up looking more like the creature from the black lagoon than a dog. There are some talented people on here!
