Sheath Question

I "may" have a M1917 Bolo Knife coming. Except, I've got a small problem. It has no sheath or scabbard. I can find the original leather-tipped canvas sheath at a reasonable price, but they do not have the inserts, pinewood or metal. The metal scabbards are impossible to find.

So, what do you guys think I should do? I was thinking A: buy the original canvas sheath, get me some Kydex (or scavenge some heavy plastic) and make a scabbard to fit inside the canvas outer sheath or B: just have a nice-looking leather sheath made up to fit the knife. Since it's in rough shape, I may be using it a little bit; but it may see display use more than carry. Situation A should be rather affordable, since the sheath is $30, and I'd probably pay no more than $20 for a good-sized sheet of Kydex. Because the bolo has a 12-inch blade, it's gonna take a LOT of leather and craftsmanship, so condition B, despite being cosmetically better, will be really costly.

See if Condor has a leather sheath that would work. They sell them separately
