If you could give us an exact length of your knife (when closed) to the nearest 1/16" then you will get a positive ID.

This is the 8873 from the 1926 catalog. It has a shield and a pen blade (not a spey).

It is an 8803, I believe. Different runs for different buyers and different eras (think WWII) might or might not have a shield, and various combinations of steel and brass liners, bolsters and pins.

I agree. Schrade might have called it a S8803 with the S indicating "Special combination or finish" because of the no-shield option, or not.

Yes; I did an edit but forgot one click on the miracle device. The main difference between this pattern and the 8813 I believe is the rounded bolsters versus the squared pinched bolsters of the ubiquitous pattern variously called the premium stock knife and similar terms. The more rounded bolster version could be construed as more pocket-friendly. It came in a number of combinations other than posted above.
They carried this a step farther with an even more slender version(s), the 8613LB, 8614YLB, *8614Y, 8613 (bone stag), and 8614M. After 1946 it became the 861 open-stock, and later yet, the 61OT and the 98OT (stainless). Camillus had its own version, the #69.
