Crown J.S.H. & Co., 3 5/16" --- 1900-1915
Very well made whittler with sunken joints and half stops on the three blades.
The three blades are stamped.
Great bones and a well fashioned wedge and a strong spring. Solid and tight.

Interesting. I've never seen that tang stamp.

Crown JSH & Co 1900-1915. V on pile side of master blade. 3 1/2” First Crown Co. knife I have seen. Well made 1/2 stops. Junk store find. Harold

What a good looking jack knife that is, Harold. Nice bolsters and great Ebony covers.
Doesn't look like it's been sharpened much if at all.
I guess there's not many of thee around.

Is JSH, J.S.Holler? (A. Blaich , agent), NY ? Is it the same as Crown Cutlery,NY? Levine says they were German/Austrian imports except for the WWI years, made in USA. If so, it could be pretty old. Nice piece. J.O'.

Thanks y’all for looking at my new, old knife. New tang stamp to me and not much information to be found. It is fun finding a unusual one. I do think Crown made razors and dining ware. Sharpened the master blade, Will care it for awhile. Harold
