All About Pocket Knives

Not sure if this counts as a custom or not, but I made it from a wrecked Blue Steel hunter (like the one shown).

It's double ground, 9.5" OAL with a "nuggeted" SS guard. It's a stick tang, but I mounted it to appear as a full tang by slotting the bar stock to very closely fit the stick tang.

It looked darn cool carried forward cant, weak side to an old K-frame S&W.

It was a present for my Father and he wore it at gun shoots because "...my son made it for me.", but not because it's terribly practical.

It's been in a box for a year or so and needs a good polish, but thought you might enjoy it.

I LIKE IT!!! Looks nice to me but what I liked better than the knife is the story you shared about it. I can just imagine the pride your dad must have had carrying that with him. I'll also go as far as to say even if it wasn't a good looking knife like it is, IMO, he would have been just as proud! That's the daddy thing. Thanks for sharing, Brad

That's a fine job, and a great story too!

One of the things I love about knife collecting is the stories that go with the knives. In some cases the stories are better than the knife, but in this case you have a great story and a great knife. Nice work.

I am sure your dad is proud. I know my dad is proud of knives I make and give him………I hear it from other family members.
