Was hoping someone here could enlighten me to the numbering system they used and possibly the maker of the knife. I only found one other similar 2 blade pearl with 184 stamp on the bay.

Evening, will throw this at you. Check out the Camillus section, look for other brands thread. Camillus made knives for MANY other Companies ,jobbers ,hardware stores etc. I do believe that Wards, made in the USA, was made by Camillus as well . Don’t quote me on that as my memory isn’t always running on all cylinders.
And the bone looks like the stuff Camillus used.

Great looking knives, GT3 and Joe. Winchester used a lot of Federal shields too.

jp first I have look at a lot of knives, but the big thing is Winchester with this shield is that they are small even on a larger knife. I do think the op knife is Winchester made. Left Winchester right Wards

Not sure if you can differentiate Winchester Federal shields from others, but if you look at old Winchester knife pictures in one of Sargent's books you will see a lot of them. An observation I had recently.
