Tonight I got this old case from my father in law. Its in kind of rough shape, but I think its a rare case.
Can anyone tell me more about it? Value etc.
Thanks
Toby

Looks like the same Case Congress I have Pattern #64052. Mine was made in 1974.
I don't think they are rare, but we have a few Case experts that will get to you.

Nice to have a family heirloom.

It’s a Case “congress” pattern, also sometimes called a tobacco knife. Would need clear close-up pictures of the tang stamps to be sure how old it is, but based on the jigging and shield I’m guessing 1965-1970s. Not that rare but the pattern is popular with collectors. Value in that condition (from what I can see in your pictures) probably $50. Better pictures including markings would help a lot.
