All About Pocket Knives

Picked this up at a gun show in Baltimore a long time ago for $5. They were popular trinkets from WWII and later. Bet the aluminum is scrap aircraft parts. I've seen other variations since on e-bay and elsewhere. Nice wall hanger in the cave. About 12" x 12".

I think that is a lot newer than WW2. I also doubt the aluminum is from aircraft, they likely used car pistons like the knife makers here in the US did.

Can't figure out the picture rotation thing. Sometimes it does and other times it doesn't. ???? Maybe one of the experts can explain it. J.O'.

If I take a photo with my cell phone and I am holding it normally, as I would when making a call (portrait), the picture will post sideways.
If I rotate the phone 90° (landscape) and take a pic, the pic will post for correct viewing. Hey, it works for me.

Very interesting piece, J O., thanks for posting. Regardless of how old it is, (some pre-date WW2) or where the aluminum came from, you have a great wallhanger for 5 bucks.

In regards to posting photos, Steve has given some good advice. I have also discovered that if you edit a photo that was taken in "normal" phone position, the edited photo will post correctly. Just a slight enlargement, or any other change will do it.

That's cool. I have seen one like that posted somewhere else before, was cool back then also!

Couldn't go wrong for that price! I had a couple of those years ago;gave one to a good friend and still have mine.
