Gorgeous old bone

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Gorgeous old bone

What I have for you today is a toothpick with some great bone color. I call it Tiger bone. This is a Kabar and Union Cutlery USA. Gene I did not clean this!! Rubbed it down with some mineral oil. I had to clean the channel out because it was dirty and wouldn’t let the blade open/close with any snap.

That’s a fine one for sure! Old bone is really hard to beat. Seems like the knife world is overwhelmed by all the new dyed bone colors and new colored materials. They are eye catching but in no way do they compare to your Kabar. ::tu::
