All About Pocket Knives

Hey guys! I just received an email from Jemmy Iwahara from Japanese Knife Direct, the same fella that Mark(SSk)deals with in Japan, and he has a replica of the Marbles Safety Knife that was hand-made by Master Fumio Inagaki and has a 5" Cos-25 Cobalt blade, 4 1/2" stag covers, nickel silver bolsters and hilt, and is a collectors item since only 1 was built. The price is US$450., but Jemmy said for myself or any other AAPK member he will reduce the price to US$390. You can go directly to www.japaneseknifedirect.com and send Jemmy a message that you're interested in this knife, or, you can contact myself via PM or email and I will get the 2 of you together. He sent a picture of the knife in his email, but unfortunately I don't know how to attach the picture to this thread, but I can tell you it's probably the nicest safety knife I've ever seen, and has very gnarly stag covers. I'm not familiar with the Marbles Safety knife but have to say that Master Fumio Inagaki is an impressive craftsman. Lots of beautiful knives on that site.

Yes, I'm sorry bout that John. I went back to look myself, but didn't see it either. Perhaps because Jemmy made the offer to us here he isn't posting it on the site until he knows if anyone here wants it.

I agree whole-heart-idly with you Markie, it tis the nicest safety folder I've seen so far, and I've seen a few in my day.
And the price he's asking, for a safety folder no less, is haaaaaard to pass on.
But, tisn't my cup of tea.
Even a "genuine" Marbles isn't my ting, shoot's for different roots, like any collecting .

I'll tell ya John, that Willy is a real ! LOL! When people start calling you by a name that was made-up it has a tendency to stick, and I REALLY don't want to get stuck with that handle!

DUE TO LITTLE OR NO INTEREST IN THIS KNIFE FELLAS, IT HAS BEEN LISTED ON THE JKD WEBSITE FOR SALE, $450., ALTHOUGH, JEMMY SAID IF ANYONE HERE EVENTUALLY WANTS IT, THE PRICE WILL REMAIN AT $390. FOR THEM, 1st COME, 1st SERVED! Thanks! Mark! EDIT: This knife has now been sold to a customer in Quatar, on the same day it was listed on the JKD site!
