It's a very good book , I've a nice collection of books about the Gurkhas, one I've had since the 80's

Couldn't decide which knife to post so I did two of them.The book will always be the same.
First is a Press Button Knife Co. one-armed man's knife with an A.A.Marks etching on the blade.
Second is my grandfather's Imperial scout/utility;the first knife to inflict serious injury to me at the age of eight.

Interesting concept. For me I would have to say that my picture below with the Adrian Harris knife repair book and the Kent jack knife would cover it for me. I bought the book at a gunshow from a knife dealer and then bought a few 50 cent and dollar knives at the fleamarket to take apart and practice on. The Kent redone in rosewood was the first knife I had apart and rehandled. That was about 5 or 6 years ago.

Great book, great knife! The novel, a best seller based on the life of James Bowie, was made into a 1952 motion picture starring Alan Ladd and Virginia Mayo. The knife is G.W. Stone’s “Magnum” survival knife which he designed for Vietnam War pilots. (I know, a “Bowie” knife would be more appropriate - but I don’t have one.)

I picked this book up at the Maryland Antique Arms Show in Timonium, MD, the author graciously signed it for me. I love finding and collecting old military knives.

Sargent's books are a great resource of old knife catalog pictures. I use it in comparison of knives I'm considering for my collection.

Been reading this book for a while as love stories about mountain men and there skills books called The Frontiersman By Allan W Eckert , first published in 1967 this is a 5th edition 1980 Knife if a friction folder I made for short camp trips , it's got a lock pin to keep the blade locked , the blade was a old bastard file
