I Had an Interesting Set-To with eBay

I was in the process of doing my daily scheduling on the Bay and ran into a problem in that my last listing would not schedule.
Ebay's format will allow a person to schedule 3 weeks in advance and today being March 17, I can list up to or thru, April 6. I had scheduled one knife with no problem but the 2nd one would not go thru. I got no error message or such, but the computer screen went dim to the point I could see what was entered but absolutely nothing would respond. I cancelled out a couple of times and re-entered the info and same thing happened every time. Finally, in desperation, I called eBay and eventually spoke with a rep who had no clue and transferred me to another department. Now I am on the phone with someone from the Philippines. She has a good command of English but had no idea as to why the item would not list. She checked with systems and she checked with supervisors. She finally threw in the towel and said she'd call back. After 45 or 50 minutes, I relented and called back. I got another lady much like the first one and she put me thru all the jumps and hurdles with exactly the same results. After one of the holds, she announced that there was a glitch in their system and I should wait a while and try again. And I did try again, and again. No change.
Now, the item I was trying to list was an Indian Head Trapper and I thought maybe their system doesn't like the politically incorrect name of this knife so I deleted the Indian part of the name and re-entered the listing. It sailed thru there slicker'n snot. I then went back and did a revision on the listing and added the Indian part back in and the system accepted the revision.
One has to wonder why no one there would just say, hey, our system will not accept anything so politically incorrect as this. I must have spent 3 hours on the phone with those folks, playing their silly games.

Welcome to the,"post-Constitutional" era of double think;double talk, and all around insanity. Reminds me of a song from the 1960's by Janis Ian;the title of which was,"Insanity comes quietly to the structured mind". ::shrug::
