All About Pocket Knives

With no small,"effort",I hereby present you with another installment of the Alphabet Series of knife posts. "ENJOY"

#1 Marked,"E.C.S.2000" it appears to be a military issue knife. Not sure of the maker's name.
#2 A group of Eagle Pencil Co. gravity knives.
#3 Marked Eastman Machine co.(obviously not a maker)a knife used in the shoe industry.
#4 Alfred Williams,"EBRO" knife. Apparently several different companies used the EBRO mark.
#5 Marked,"Eichert-Reisen" this knife slides out and reverses to form the handle.
#6 Edge Brand #496 hunter.
#7 Edge Co. switchblade made in Mexico for the company from Vermont.
#8 Edge Co. Vermont switchblade that was sold in kit form(until the Feds cracked down on them).
#9 Edge Germany utility knife. Not sure if this is the same as Edge Brand.
#10 Another Edge Brand hunter(#460).

#4 Electric Cutlery Walden NY sleeveboard jack.
#5 Electric Cutlery Newark NJ sleeveboard with ivory handles.
#6 Elgin American 14k gold fob knife.
#7 Hunter stamped, "EMES" No info on that name.
#8 Empire Winsted CT wharncliffe
#9 Empire Specialties Japan advertising knife.
#10 Empire Knife Co toy knife.

#1 Empire Winsted CT stag 2 blade
#2 Empire Winsted CT pearl with sterling bolsters.
#3 ERN pen knife.
#4 ERN dagger.
#5 Estwing hunter.
#6 Excelsior Cutlery Co. easy open.
#7 Explorer metal handled trapper.

Thanks to all for the kind words. My ulterior motives for doing this are like a "double edged" sword. As you have never seen many of these knives,the posts of others on here show me knives I have not only never seen before but never even heard of.It's like going to a knife show every day!
I also am doing this to try and encourage others who normally do not post to contribute their knives so that we all may enjoy them.You will notice that many of the knives I post are far from being in pristine condition.Although we all love to find such knives,the reality is we usually have to content ourselves with something a bit less than perfect.I think that is one of the reasons we keep accumulating knives;to get a better copy of a knife.Sort of a continual upgrade.
To me a knife that has a broken or chipped blade or has been drastically re-shaped or has a handle that has been repaired isn't an abused knife.That is usually a sign that the owner thought a lot of his knife and tried to keep it in operative condition for as long as possible. These are the knives that could tell us stories if they only had the capability of speech.
Sorry for the rant;I guess I'm just,"knutty" about knives!

I recognized the Estwing right off. I have a hammer to match that hunter.

Very nice post, K7K. I like that EMES knife. It looks so practical and balanced it makes me wonder why it is not a popular pattern!

Interesting how distinct the scales are on that Electric Cut. Co. I could tell what it was before seeing the tang stamp.
