That real one is gorgeous! Did the filework come from the factory or was it added later? Whatever the case it really complements the knife. Thanks for sharing them.

I got this one from Q and I believe glennbad did the file work when he did a repair on it. Pardon me if I don't remember the right knife mechanic.

I think this is a good topic, no doubt, but I am absolutely amazed at the number & quality of knives I'm seeing. I'll try to slip in an humble total of one, by Ralph D. Harris.

There was a variant sawback. Too often, bayonets with a saw removed are found. Legend has it that if a soldier with such a bayonet with a saw was captured, the bayonet was inserted ...mmm, in the back side.

I haven't heard that one before my friend. What I did hear was that they were removed due to a ruling by the Geneva Convention.Not sure if that was accurate or not. Hope all is well Georgi!
