Yesterday I picked up a nice little Precise lockback still NIB for under $20.After photographing it and adding the info to my document file,I was looking over the pictures of other Precise knives that I have and decided to post up some pictures of them.
I don't see many Precise knives posted here so I am assuming that they are not high on people's collector list. Sad because they are actually quite nicely made. Oh well;more for me!
There are a couple that although not marked Precise are for all intents and purposes identical. One is stamped,"Frederic Remington" and "United States Cutlery" and another,United States Cutlery" and "Mountain Shadow" I believe these were made by the same company that made the Precise knives.
So here they are;for better or worse.
#1 & #2 My latest purchase.
#3 -#4-#5 Scrimshaw handle(signed & numbered on back)and what looks like some type of blade etching.
#6 & #7 Precise "Big Paw" with very thick laminated wood handles. Actually quite comfortable to hold.
#8 & #9 Precise Blackhawk with contoured horn handles.

Ray you continue to amaze me. This is a brand I'm totally unfamiliar with and you've got a knife roll full. Wow!

They do look like well made knives. Thanks for sharing them with us. ::handshake::

I have a couple of Precise lockbacks. Very nicely made, heavy duty and fit and finish is first-rate. One of mine is a Deerslayer with bone handles just like your pictures, even has cracks at the pins just like yours. I paid $15 for it at a pawnshop. Way more quality than the price reflects.
