Ulster Scout/Camp Shield ... Hmmm?

I picked up an Ulster over USA Scout/Camp knife a a local thrift shop yesterday. Its shield (on the right) is not the usual eagle emblem....
Construction wise it is identical to the Ulster Scout on the left with the exception of the shield and darker Delrin.
Any and all information about this knife will be greatly appreciated.

I had the same thought as it looks like a Fleur-De-Lis....

I want to say I have seen one of these that said "OFFICIAL KNIFE" and "Canada" with that shield.

Well, to be fairrrr, that’s appropriate. I guess this means I should use it to slice my Canadian bacon, cut my maple syrup pancakes and stir my Tim Horton’s coffee...eh!

Yes, their coffee is quite enjoyable and their donuts, full of white flour and sugar are best for promoting atherosclerotic heart disease, obesity and diabetes. I really like Timmy's donuts !

I just picked up a small Western, Boulder with a Scout stamp and it has what you guys are saying is the Canada version. I've never heard there was a difference in USA and Canada's stampings. Now I have to dig through my safe and see if I can find examples of both stamps. You guys sure cause me a lot of work.____Dave

The cap lifter works equally well on a LaBatt's(sp?) or a Molson. J.O'.

The fleur de lis symbol you’re seeing on the Canadian scout knife is also part of the USA scout symbol, and in fact is used worldwide by the scouting movement. It can be seen in several places on a Scout uniform. Coincidentally there was an article about the fleur de lis symbol in the January 2021 issue of Scouting magazine. Per the article the symbol was chosen by scouting’s founder Baden Powell, and was part of his drawing of the original scout symbol from the early 1900’s.
The Boy Scouts of America has added its own unique stamp on the fleur-de-lis logo and its meaning.
The fleur-de-lis shape represents north on a compass and a flower with three leaves or petals.The three points of the fleur-de-lis represent the three parts of the Scout Oath:
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law
To help other people at all times
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight
The eagle and shield stand for freedom
The two stars within the fleur-de-lis represent truth and knowledge
The knot under the scroll represents the Scout Slogan: “Do a Good Turn Daily”
The scroll with the Scout Motto, “Be Prepared,” is curved as a reminder to Scouts to smile as they do their duty

Great information, Ken; I had pretty much forgotten all of that.
I had the good fortune to be in Troop 29 in Baker, Montana when we received Madam Baden-Powell as a visitor. We stood in the hot sun in the parking lot of a gas station, as I recall and two of the boys passed out. I think that this was 1958. If not, it was 1959.

MT-V, Your Canadian Ulster Scout knife is a great find!
That's the first I have seen with that shield.
Canadian Scout knives don't show up very often and I am not sure why.
Here are the few examples I have found. From the left the 1st is a Imperials Prov. RI USA, the 2nd and on top are Johnson Western Works, Sheffield, the 3rd is Imperial Prov. RI and the 4th is a Ulster USA

It pleases me to no end to see specimens from my lifetime Scout knife collection embedded in someone else’s collection. Thanks for reminding me David
