This one’s got me scratching my head. The match striker pulls and round shield say its a newer knife. But the banner etch and eye tang stamp are indications of older knives. But I’m thinking it was made in the same factory (olbertz) as Bulldogs. I have bulldogs with the same font pile side stamp. Of course one blade is double stamped. Thought that was kind of neat. What y’all think?

The etch and knife are newer. 'Stainless' in the etch is a dead giveaway.

That’s what I was thinking Ray. Thought the double stamp was kind of different and folks might want to see it .

I pretty sure that I bought one at show in Charlotte, except it had black and silver swirl handles, sometime before I transferred out in 2000. If that is of any help.

It’s almost certainly from the late 1990s, probably a parts knife. All excess inventory was being used up in making new knives, so there are some very interesting configurations, like this one. The Three Eye blade still dates before the mid 1980s even though the overall knife is later. It’s nice, and you probably got it at a much more reasonable price than a typical Three Eye.
Enjoy it!

I posted this before I saw the pile side tang. I don't believe it is a Three Eye blade. It is probably also from the 2000s.

I bought one like that Eye Brand Man couple years ago. Got in a hurry thinking it was a 3 eye because of blade etch. But then realizing wrong shield for a 3 eye. Sold mine a year ago. Here is one like mine but he is calling it a 3 eye and rams horn. I just dont have a good enough imagination for a good salesman.

Same etch. It is a good imitation but not an authentic 3 Eye. Also, that style of match striker pull is also a tip off.

I had one exactly like the one in Luckydog64’s post. Beside from these 2, ive never came across anymore, but i think they are good knives. They are a bit harder to sharpen, all the stainless Eye brands i have owned dont compare to the carbon ones, in my opinion. But the handles in this knife sure are pretty as well!
