All About Pocket Knives

Good Evening folks, as this day winds down would like to share with you today’s car show pics. Several of us were chatting this morning and some wanted pics. The weather was great, great crowd, over 170 vehicles entered in show itself . Give credit to the city,the lions club and many others for there help with this.
If any one has pics of anything gear related, wheels,skis , gas or diesel ,show em .Smitty you mentioned before about a gear head thread, and
John , Boji, and some of you have Cars, so if you have some of this stuff . Or did ,or wish I woulda kept it ,lets see it.
Will be posting pics only, no info , there’s a lot of pics and may do it in several days if any interest . If you have a question ,will gladly try to answer.

Cool pics, JP...thanks for posting. I love going to car shows. Every so often they have one over here that I go to...however, because it's an island, we mostly see the same cars every time (but they're still fun to look at). Next time I'll remember to bring my camera to snap some pics so y'all can see how they do it "Hawaiian Style" (which, if I'm honest, is actually pretty much the same as it's done on the mainland.)

Nice pictures, JP. I could see myself driving the 1940 Chevy pickup (champagne with turquoise fenders).

Great variety of cars and great pictures, keep 'em coming. So far my pick is the silver one in the 3rd picture, mid 50's Austin Healey 100.

J.P., thanks for posting the great pictures. The silver roadster in the 3rd pic grabbed my heart. Now you'll have to excuse me while I clean the drool off my keyboard.

I'm not a car guy and can only tell you where the gas goes, but I love seein' old cars. I did have a Chevy Chevelle back in 81, Uhhhh....

Wow! What cool pictures you have for us today JP! I see a lotta great looking cars were there! That GTO Convertible really gets my blood pressure up! The SS & the Mustang as well! Wish I could have been there & thanks for sharing your pictures! Appreciate it!

Some very nice cars being shown.
Yesterday I went over to a friend's home to letter the doors on his 53 Ford pickup. I had done the striping on it in 2014 and he decided it needed some lettering on the doors.He had made it easier by jacking it up and having the running boards off(they were being re-painted).Not exactly sure where he got the idea for the rooster logo but I modified it from it's original style by putting a stogie in his hand. The pic sequence shows the striping(already done) and the lettering in progress.

Here is my ole red (and orange..... LOL) truck.

1978 F100 SWB, 3 on the tree with a 302 V8 under the hood.

It's fun to drive around on a cool spring or fall day. It is not very well suited for the Mississippi summers. No AC.... just a cool breeze coming in the windows.

Bought a '77 f 150 red with a white top in '77 had a 400 cu.inch in it, it was one tough s.o.g, gave it to my best buddies son in 2010. He just wanted the engine to put in a mud bogging truck he built. He sold it a couple of years ago, may still be going

I had a nice clean 64 Malibu.
We built a 433ci Big Block for it.
Turbo 400 trans and 3.73 Posi.
Centerline wheels, white paint.
Didn't have it very long until it was stolen.

Have always had something a bit different to drive since I could drive(well;almost).Never took too many pictures back then because I didn't have a camera until I went into the Navy in 64. Some of my earlier attempts probably weren't worth taking pictures of anyway.
My first car when I got out of the Navy was a 1960 Chevy convertible I bought for $25.Six cylinder automatic;faded maroon paint;a shrunken top and a rear window you couldn't see out of.Drove it from Massachusetts to Michigan where the transmission started to hemmhorage and it was going to cost $300 to fix it. Couldn't junk it because I didn't have a title so I buried it in a river around midnight one day.
My next one was another 60 Chevy;this time a sedan delivery that was originally used to deliver cigarettes.Had locks on it everywhere.Another 6 cylinder but standard shift. Fixed it up and eventually painted it and put in a V-8.Got in a head-on collision with some idiot who was late to a softball game or something like that.
Bought a custom 1968 Chevelle from a friend that needed some motor work.Fixed it up and drove it for awhile until I wrecked it(long story that involved a sonn-to-be ex-wife).
Bought my first new car in 1982: a black Ford Mustang GT. Drove it for 10 years and sold it to a friend of mine who turned it into a race car.After he tired of it,it sat in his back yard for years until he gave it to my son who is currently restoring it.
Had a fascination with Ford Pinto wagons;especially the Cruisin' Van variant.Had several of them.
Bought an Austin Mini Cooper wagon in 1987 that a friend of mine had hot-rodded.Drove that everywhere until I was rear-ended one night while I was stopped to let a police car pull out of a DONUT shop! Got it fixed up and sold it to another friend.He sold it and it disappeared.
When I moved to Michigan(again)in 1993 I bought my 1955 Pontiac Safari wagon that I still own and hopefully will be driving once again shortly. Over time I also bought another Safari(a 1957 that was an old race car);a GMC Syclone pickup that I blew up demonstrating to a potential customer,a 25th Anniversary Trans Am that is still sitting in my garage,and a 1972 Ford Thunderbird for my wife who drove it once and put it in the garage.It still sits there 15 years later.
I almost forgot two others: My chopped 1954 Chevy with Olds engine I got in 1974 by trading an AM/FM radio for a Studebaker to the guy who built it.He wanted it for the Avanti he was restoring.He still hasn't restored it to this day. The other one is my wife's 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix.She also had a 25th Anniversary Trans Am but sold it because she didn't like it. Here are some pics of the cars over the years.
