Schrade 34OT, NOT an Error Knife

Hey folks, just wanted to bring this to your attention; this is not a factory error "84OT" knife. There is no such thing. Schrade never had 84OT stamps made, intentionally or otherwise. This was just a 34OT stamp that probably had some metal crud stuck in the 3 which resulted in the stamp being smudged so to speak, which happened more often than you'd imagine. If you like the knife that's fine, it's a great example of a 34OT, but don't buy it for the false hype.

That's right, Eric; good info. I already knew that but many don't. I have seen hundreds (not an exaggeration) of those "84s" on the Bay.

66 bucks for a highly buffed 34OT - ::shrug:: ::td:: - I have seen more than a dozen of these that at first look, looks like a 84

Yeah fellas, but it's "double dyed delrin".
That surely increases the value.

Surely not worth the money it is currently being auctioned in my opinion.
I would not classify it as a rare collectible knife I would want. To each
his own.
