All About Pocket Knives

I knocked out a couple of easy ones today. I only had about an hour, so I didn't want to get too involved. I got this Western in a group of knives. The main is worn down and the secondary is broken off. I simply ground off the secondary tang and sharpened the main. It is thin, but useable.
In the following pictures you can see the end that I ground down. I have it propped up on a small Sharp brand Japanese peanut. It had a loose pin and a missing shield. I repinned it and filed down a Schrade shield to fit it.
These two should get a little pocket time this week.

I do some locksmithing at work. I also have a Queen knife that has a thin sliver of a secondary blade, and I have found that I can use it to pick out a broken key. It works better than the "broken key extractor" tool that I bought!
I am sure that I will find some useful purpose for this worn Western as well. It already has proven good at cleaning under fingernails!
