Hello, Can anyone tell me about this knife. It says "C..." on the front and H1211 1/2 on the back. I'm assuming it is a Case and the ase is worn off.

The knife is marked H1211 1/2,
Sargents 7th, page 194 shows P1211/2 mottled comp 4" 1920-1940 texted XX, Switch Blade. 1500
I believe this is a misprint and the P should be an H.
Sargents 5th, page 41 shows H1211/2 mottled comp 4" 1920-1940 texted XX, Switch Blade. 750
I think this is correct but there is no picture. This knife looks very much like Shrade's of this era and this knife could very well have been made in Walden, NY by Schrade on contract for WR Case.

Those were made by The George Schrade Knife co. "Presto" brand, not Schrade Cut.Co. (two different companies.)

Top knife is the Case H1211 1/2, next 3 knives are Schrade Cut Co, bottom knife is a Presto. Bill says the case was made by George Schrade.

And, not only does Bill say so, Mark Erickson agrees in "Antique American Switchblades."
There were bolstered versions of the Presto that looked exactly like the Cases and Schrades.
