Virginia Switchblade Legislation

Done! I don't know why the delgate for my district wasn't included, only the state senator.
I am hoping that it finally gets passed; as a similar bill was vetoed by the previous governor.
I never bought any, since that well, everything was a bit of a gray area in terms of legality. Hoping that if things start to change, they get stocked locally a bit more--things like the Spyderco Autonomy and Boker Kalshnikov series for example. Been thinking the Autonomy 2 Rescue will be a great farm work knife, and the spring is easy to change out.

We can only hope, cody.
KnifeCenter in Fredericksburg, VA won't mail autos to me but just about every other knife store will. It just doesn't make sense.

Looks like the governor signed the repeal into law yesterday--effective July 1. Surprised that it passed the Senate unanimously, and the House almost unanimously.

Now to decide what I'm buying. I have 3 1/2 months to set aside money for something nice.

A good step, but here's the downside. You can open carry but not conceal. So SMKW and KnifeCenter still probably won't let you but from them.

Consider Pro-tech. Other than military junk (those wimpy military pilot rigger knives with orange handles), the only switch I have is a Pro-tech TR4. The pro-techs are pricey, but well built. I got it a couple of months before they became legal to carry in Texas back in 2013 and have no problems with it. Some day, I intend to get a TR3.
They have a bunch of weird looking handles for many of their models but the knives themselves are good.
