I won’t post who the seller is, but I am curious for opinions, look legit or no? Blade seems a bit short to me, but I am a novice and looking for second opinions...,

It's not the blade that gets me, it's the completely different color pile side covers. Even the jigging doesn't match. Yes the wormgroove is there but the jigging around it is completely different.

Maybe a salesman's sample?? ::shrug:: seen a few like that before, but I'm no expert by any means

Nice looking knife though ::tu::

I don’t buy the “salesman’s sample” theory for explaining different colors of handle covers on the same knife. You couldn’t order them by different colors of bone. So why have a salesman with a knife having different bone colors?

I’m more inclined to believe one side has been replaced. Otherwise it looks okay, but I’m no expert.

I can't say for sure but what bothers me is not only are the covers completely different but the pins have a different look to them also.

It all looks like Kabar to me but the different handles is a negative value IMO. I don’t think the dark handle is bone but the rough black material that they used back in the day. I agree with Ken that I don’t buy into the salesman sample stories that normally are offered to explain such knives. Could be but nothing substantiates that.

Well, I hope it was a legit Union knife, it sold for $223.50. Too much for my blood with non-matching scales.
