What about this Case?

Got my attention but I did read the seller wasn't sure if it was a Case or an Old Timer.

It is always interesting to look at such as this, how sellers arrive at their descriptions of their knives.

When it comes to identifying counterfeits of most knives, I'm certainly no expert. However, in this case, I can unequivocally say that there is absolutely NO WAY this is a Case knife. Looks more like a Frost to me.

I think that is a relatively common brand (not Case), known as Hooey, as in "load of hooey".

Looks like some of Stan Packys work to me. No way is it Case. Another Ebay scammer.

Knife is not stamped at all that I can see. Seller description says “ It may be Ole timer or case I don't know for sure.” He got the “I don’t know” right at least.

Has a $48 starting bid. Might be worth a dollar, best case. At least you could put it in the next POS exchange!

The seller has a feedback score of (2) or 75%, and one of them is totally negative, regarding him sticking to his obligations!

Beware!

Didn't some Chinese made Wild Turkey knives look like this?

Pakistani, I think.
I inherited a quite similar knife as a remnant of a relative's collection (i.e I got the cheap crap and damaged knives). It's been kicking around in various junk drawers ever since. I don't feel like it's right to get rid of it in a POS Exchange, but at least it came in handy here.
Long bolsters, straight frame, and jigging are nearly identical. Mine is branded "ELK HORN" however.

"Case 4 blades, brass, knive"
Read it carefully. I think what the seller is saying, in this example is: its a case, with four blades, made from brass, and its a knife.
Sounds like common US military descriptions, for example: MRE = Meal, Ready to Eat.
I don't know if this is an intentional deception, an honest error, or something in between. They are also clearly stating they don't know. The knife is not marked "Case", nor does the description say its a "Case knife"

There were apparently no bids on this one as the time has ended. I suppose if it had started at a lower price, say $0.99, it would have sold.

The dude needs to learn how to write a description, 2 or 3 words don't cut it. Not to mention, knowing what you are selling.
