Dougs out of surgery

Spoke with my friend Dougs wife about 8:30 pm tonight. He'd been in surgery from 7:30 am until 8:00 pm this evening. One of the surgeons who was on the team told her that they feel that they got all of the tumor and that they are hoping that there won't be adverse affects after he wakes up. The tumor was located near his brain stem and had even wrapped around his facial nerve. I just want to thank everyone for keeping Doug in their thought and prayers. I believe God has really spared his life as he has done for me several times in my life. I've only known Doug for around nine months but we have really developed a real friendship. When he first told me six months ago about the tumor it really broke my heart and I had been worried about his future ever since until today.

I hope your friend fully recovers Jim.
I have about five people (aside from family) that I can call friends. I mean shirt off their backs kind of friends. The ones who would catch a plane to be with me in times of need.
I think this man is lucky to have you as one...............................

Spoke with Doug this morning and he is doing incredible! He has no neurological deficits, is walking, eating and watching TV. I'm just so thankfull that things turned out the way they have. Doug is still in intensive care and will be out of the hospital in a week. Again, thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers.
