Ha Loved this,
I would say trad guy here, I do have a tactical kinda rescue knife in my van but apart from that it needs to look like it was made from the natural world and be used there...........Wood/bone handles carbon or satin stainless blades usually.

I’m not sure I can fit entirely into one of those five. “Traditional” comes close, I love me some 110s, but I also like stockmans a lot, and a few fixed blades as well for certain cutting tasks. Does that make me “tradactical”? Perhaps I should invent a “redneck” category, which includes knives you could have bought at the feed/hardware store back in the 70s, and knives that could be made in the farm forge from old harrow steel or leaf spring off a ‘53 International. And any kitchen knives older than 100 years passed down from your grandmother. Bonus points if they still have your grandpa’s file marks on them.
I could be a happy hillbilly with those, a single shot rifle and a good dog.
Parker, hoping to be re-intarnated after I die…

None of the above. Gotta get some more categories for this guy, too much time on his hands, not enough chores to do, obviously doesn't get who some of us are, not mentioned here anyway.

Don’t see many switchblades mounted on tractor fenders around here. In fact, this next one and the one after that’ll make two.

I'm a switchblade type of knife guy.
I'm user knife guy as I use my stockmans a lot for carving and use knives a lot on camp ,
I'm also collector guy, but not high end as haven't got that type of budget, I just collect what I like and have done for over 40yrs now .
Practical guy, yep as I have knives I use a lot when working in my shed, mainly my schrade sharpfinger and esee expat medallin, but i also usually have a stockman as well in case I do a bit of carving.

As I've said before I don't use knives, (except in the kitchen) I collect knives. At last count I have 1,028 total knives, I probably have at least one from almost every category, type or pattern but what I really like are the tradition folding knives pre-1970's. There's just something special about an old knife that shows it's history. In other words it was used but taken care of by someone that needed or just loved to carry a good knife every day. I also dabble in knife kits and cleaning/repairing knives. That's me, just an old retiree that doesn't play golf or bingo, just collects knives.

Paul, “stockman guy”. Whatever else I’m carrying, there’s a stockman on me somewhere.
David, the pre-70 traditionals trip my trigger also, especially with a long pull main blade.
Tell us what knife you're packin and post some pictures if you can.

1028, and I thought I had it bad.

Too embarrassed to count. Then I might have to admit something.
