First Fixed Blade in 1095 Carbon Steel

It's not perfect but it turned out pretty good.
The blade was cut, ground, heat treated and tempered by me in my shop. Leftover micarta of some sort for the handles.

What are the dimensions ?
The overall length is 7”, the blade height is approx. 7/8” and the thickness was 1/8” when I started (possibly a bit thinner after grinding etc.)

Yes, heated in a forge and then quenched in oil.

Thanks for the comment! Yes, those are Corby bolts/rivets holding the handles on (along with some epoxy). I like the added strength that Corby bolts add so I’ve been using them on all of my fixed blades.

Has forged in fire influenced your decision to make knives? A lot of folks took up that hobby because of that show. Keep up the good designing and building knives!!
