All About Pocket Knives

Hope you guys can help with this one ?

When Schrade put the serial production stamps on the Bolsters, Did they do this with LB7's & LB8's at the same time ?

For example, just stamped a ton of bolsters and made both models concurrently ?

I have a LB7 with a number beginning with Q
And a LB8 with number starting with A

Any help would be great

JT the serial numbers were the last thing done to the knives before they were packed up, so that process was done basically one at a time. It wasn't necessarily the exact order that the knives were made but it was a close approximation. Knives generally came through on boards of around twenty five knives and they were serialized as they came through, all day long and every day until the order was completed, then it was on to the next order. The LB7's had a two year jump on the 8's so their numbers would have been higher by the time the 8's were started.
