Snatched this 826 off of Ebay yesterday, can find very little out there on these knives or very many examples. Looks like possibly only made 1953 and 54. By the looks of the knife and the box maybe made as gift knives?
Pics are the sellers, any information on the 826 is appreciated.

Surprised no one has chimed in on this knife. Looks like a fancied up 825, one of my favorite patterns. Nice looking knife whether it is a real Schrade Walden or something Taylor had made later. I probably would have bought it.

Sorry about not posting; I visited with John otherwise. Anyway, it is the real deal, as he said. As for me, as I snooze, so shall I lose. :(

I don't see it in any other than the 53 and 54 price lists.
The one mentions its the same as the Westerner (825) with special covers for a marketing stamp.
Looking for more details but records before 1959 are slim
Great looking knife.

USPS is still holding the knife hostage, maybe tomorrow. Thank you all for the comments and for the information, LRV, thank you for posting the price list, I have the 1954 but not that one.
