Schrade 225H with bone covers restored

I got this Schrade 225H some time back. I wanted to do a restoration on it since it has original bone covers.
The sellers pictures made it look a good bit better than it did in hand. Here is a couple of the sellers photos.....
(shield missing and there is a small chunk of bone missing from the pile side cover at the rocker pin)
The pile side cover was pulled away from the liner and there was a LOT of dirt and old oil under it.
I tried to do a restore without disassembling it BUT after I got the blades oiled up where they would fold easier, it was apparent that the previous owner had filed away the kick on the secondary blade. The blade just plain disappeared when it closed.......
I pulled it apart and all the flaws became easier to deal with....
Here is a close up of the missing kick on the secondary blade....
I welded a blob of metal in the area where the kick should be and filed it down. I thought I was leaving it large but it actually worked out just right after I re-assembled the knife.
I made a shield out of some sheet nickel silver I had on hand. That took a while to fit. I wound up making the original inlet deeper and eventually got a decent fit I was OK with.
I cleaned out from under the pile side cover and re-pinned it to the liner.
SORRY for not taking more pics..... I kinda got carried away with working on the knife.....LOL.
I also decided to try a little experiment with the piece of bone missing at the rocker pin on the pile side.
Since the piece missing was a perfect little arch, I took a piece of jigged bone and kept sanding it until I got a satisfying fit. I glued it in place and then did a final sanding to get it flush after it dried.
Here is the final result. I am happy to be able to add it to my 225 collection!

I stopped on the blades by getting them into a "presentable" condition. I didn't get all the rust pits or deep gouges out.....
The previous owner sure did a number on that secondary blade.
