http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-REMINGTON-S ... dZViewItem I've never seen a Remington tang stamp like this. Some of the blades are stamped on the pile side.

bears a striking resemblance to this kissing crane I have.
I think the spear blade in my knife has been replaced because it is the only blade that lacks a long pull.

knife-nut beat me to it. I had it earmarked to bring over here. Not an authentic Remington.

I was thinking that stag was seldom used on Remingtons. 1306's and what else?

I've got a near mint R7236 swell center pin handled in stag - a R6856 whittler, and a well used R3056 stock . I've got a few more but can't remember the patterns right now. Very very few Remington folding knives, other than the 1306 come handled in stag. If you find 2 out of a 100 you will be doing good.

They also made a gunstock lobster in stag. Thats got to be the coolest knife pattern ever.

That was one of the patterns I couldn't remember. After you mentioned gunstock I went and checked. Found a R6456.
