Camillus Sword re-handle

I don't even remember where I got this knife, as I have had it for a while. The handles were green shrinky-dink, and the kind that are crimped on. Since the knife was otherwise in excellent shape--very tight, great snap, etc., I didn't tear it apart, and instead glued on some acrylic handles. It'll be a good user, or else a good give-away knife.

Nice old 4-liner and a very creative save!
(P.S. - Brent, I believe that book in your pictures is the same cutlery counterfeiting book that I have.)

Thanks! And I just got this book (Which is why it's sitting on the dining room table) and have only just begun to read it. I don't generally trade in the rarefied circles where counterfeits would usually be common, but I figure it doesn't hurt to educate myself.

And I just remembered--the knife came from Meridian Mike, with whom I had a trade a few months back. Thanks, Mike!
(We have Covid in the house--though I do not have it, so far--so I've been a bit preoccupied. My brain is not running on all eight.)

Great job!
Not to thread hijack, but there's a book on counterfeiting antique knives? Is it a repair manual or more of a how-to? Unusual, to say the least.

That Witcher book has lots of great info, but watch it doesn't make you paranoid.

.
Great looking re-scale. I like how they did the coin edge/file work on those Sword Brands.

The intent seems to be knowing how it's done, to make it more easy to detect them.
