Found this one in my Aunt's home. My uncle was a big time fisherman, been dead since 1973.

Chickenman, your blade shape reminds me of a Finnish-made knife, but don't quote me.

It is Finnish but so were some of those other ones so I showed it.

It definitely qualifies as a Scandinavian knife in my view. I realize Finnland is technically distinct from Scandinavia, e.g. having a language unrelated to other Nordic countries. Yet, being Nordic I've always included it with the other Nordic countries sort of a cousin of Scandinavia. (Kindly humor an old man.)

I am voting for the bear themed puukko as my favorite!

Thanks for your comment T-Dog. Many years ago, a sister of mine called herself Standing Bear. I was called Scouting Owl. It would take much too long to explain the background. Suffice it to say that when I discovered the knife with a standing bear I knew it was made for her. To say she was delighted to receive it doesn't begin to capture her reaction.

Very complex and interesting covers. I think I am seeing a dragon in the figures...sort of.

You got it Q.S.

... I think it is a Norse and Viking (with Germanic origin) Dragon, or worm. They are present in Germanic mythology and wider folklore, where they are often portrayed as large venomous serpents. Especially in later tales, however, they share many common features with other dragons in European mythology.

I have several mora knives and Puukko Knives. I dug this one out to carry today. A sturdy lightweight EDC.

T-Dog, that is a nice looking typical Puukko. I have a huge pile of cardboard that I need slice and dice to bring it under control. Based on previous experience I will most likely use a Mora.

Q.S. you can't go wrong with the Mora for tasks like that, I have a big pile too that I want to burn in my backyard firepit. I am just waiting for a non 15-30 mph windy day

So I was cutting up cardboard as well
