I was looking over their web site. Looks like Schrade is starting to produce higher end knives, some made in America.
https://www.schrade.com/shop/shop-knives/folding-knife/
That's a good thing, yes?

OK with me, but some of them are over $200.

I wouldnt be too surprised to see stuff coming home for manufacture as things deteriorate re China relations. America is slowly awakening to reality. China desires to bury us. Further support of the CCP is not in the worlds best interest. But it will cost more for sure.

I own knives from all over the world, but I don't mind paying more for American made

It doesn't matter if it's USA made with foreign parts. In today's global economy it's almost impossible not to get away from that. If you go to a five star restaurant in the USA and the head chef makes you his special, does it matter if the cook wear was made overseas, spices and ingredients came from one part of the world, and the main dish from another? It's still made in the USA.

I'm curious--who is making these for Schrade? I know the "new" Old Timers are actually Bear and Son knives, but what about the others?

It doesn't matter to me who makes knives American manufacturers or Chinese! The main thing is to have the best value for money!
